Not the Ocean

It might look like I've been to the seashore but it's just the shores of Douglas Lake.

A sure sign of spring...the Canada geese are here, also I saw my first bluebird last week.

Just though this was a cool shot...enjoy.

Hello Amanda & Cody from Huck

Playing around with the camera in the back yard and caught a beautiful sunset.

Auntie Amanda and Uncle Cody....my mama told me you wanted to see what a big boy I have become, so here I am!!!! I know Uncle Cody I am a handsome boy and I love laying around watching TV, my mama sayes I must have got that from you.

Melting Fast

It has been, windy, windy, windy...even tried to snow a bit yesterday. Today it is pretty nice but still a little breezy. Huck thought it was nice enough for playing in the water though. There is still a some ice left on the shore but not much and the lake is now totally open. It's almost time to pull out the kayak and hit the water.

Out and About

Today after work Megan and I went down to Prince Phillip Point to check out the ice....we had to really bundle up though it is windy and cold. The ice piles have gotten even bigger. Here is Megan and I (with Huck) on the ice. Emma...the picture of Huck and I is for you. Picture's a little blurry Megan!!

On your way home from the lake Megan spotted a blue herron, so we stopped for the photo op.....thought you might like these Mom.

Ice Breaking

The snowstorm has passed and so Huck and I went down to Prince Phillip Point (on Douglas Lake) for a walk....what a sight we saw, the ice is coming off the lake and piling up on the shore, in some places it has to be over 5 feet high and the chunks of ice are a pretty good size....it was an awesome sight.

Afghan Project

It's Tuesday....that mean "craft night" (aka stitch'n'bitch)....here is my afghan project that I finally finished a couple of weeks ago.

Huck thinks maybe he should have the new afghan but I don't agree!!!

Howdy Everyone

Thought I would give this Blog thing a try, keep you up-to-date (not that's it is too terribly hard to keep up to me and little harder to keep up with Huck!!), and show a few of my photos. Hope you enjoy. I'll start with one of Huck taken a couple of weeks ago at the Loon Lake cabin.

The BIG catch....this is Kendra and I ice-fishing in January on Minnie Lake....she did way better than me!!!! But we had lots of fun.
